The Quebec City Summer Festival (Festival d'été de Québec in French, also known as by its acronym FEQ) is an annual 11-day music festival in downtown Quebec City normally starting on the first Thursday of July.

With its 135,000 passes sold, a total attendance of about 1.5 million festival-goers year in year out and its hundreds of performances spread over a dozen venues, the festival has established itself as a major player on the music festival circuit. Its main stage ( the largest of its kind in North America [1]) is located on the historic Plains of Abraham with a site capacity of over 100,000 (102,000 at The Rolling Stones concert in 2015). The festival is also known for its eclectic musical selection and its urban setting, with most venues in the downtown area and within walking distance of each other.

Kendrick Lamar Duckworth (born June 17, 1987)[2] is an American rapper and songwriter. Born and raised in Compton, California, he embarked on his musical career as a teenager under the stage name K-Dot, releasing a mixtape that garnered local attention and led to his signing with indie record label Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE). He began to gain recognition in 2010, after his first retail release, Overly Dedicated. The following year, Lamar independently released his first studio album, Section.80, which included his debut single, "HiiiPoWeR". By that time, he had amassed a large Internet following and collaborated with several prominent artists in the hip hop industry, including The Game, Busta Rhymes and Snoop Dogg.

His major label debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d city, was released in 2012 by TDE, Aftermath and Interscope Records to critical success. It debuted at #2 on the US Billboard 200 chart and was later certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The record contained the top 40 hit singles "Swimming Pools (Drank)", "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe" and "Poetic Justice". Lamar won his first Grammy Award for "i", the lead single from his critically acclaimed third album To Pimp a Butterfly (2015). The album drew on free jazz, funk, soul, and spoken word, debuted atop the charts in the US and the UK, and won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album at the 58th ceremony. In 2016, Lamar released Untitled Unmastered, a collection of unreleased demos that originated during the recording sessions for Butterfly. He released his fourth album Damn in 2017; its lead single "Humble" topped the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Lamar has received a number of accolades over the course of his career, including seven Grammy Awards. In early 2013, MTV named Lamar the number one "Hottest MC in the Game", on their annual list.[3] Time named Lamar one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2016.[4] Aside from his solo career, Lamar is also known as a member of the West Coast hip hop supergroup Black Hippy, alongside his TDE label-mates and fellow South Los Angeles-based rappers Ab-Soul, Jay Rock and Schoolboy Q.

Headliner

Alecia Beth Moore (born September 8, 1979), better known by her stage name Pink (frequently stylized as P!nk), is an American singer, songwriter, dancer and actress. She was signed to her first record label with original R&B girl group Choice in 1995. The label, LaFace Records saw potential in only Pink, offering her a solo deal. Choice disbanded in 1998. Pink rose as an artist with her debut solo album, Can't Take Me Home (2000). It was certified double-platinum in the United States and spawned two Billboard Hot 100 top-ten hits: "There You Go" and "Most Girls". She gained further recognition with the Moulin Rouge! soundtrack "Lady Marmalade", which gave Pink her first Grammy Award as well as her first number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100. Pink took control of her image in early 2001 insisting she wanted to work with her childhood hero, Linda Perry. Pink took more artistic control and pursued a pop rock direction for her second album, Missundaztood (2001). It sold more than 15 million copies worldwide and yielded three United States top-ten singles, "Get the Party Started", "Don't Let Me Get Me", and "Just Like a Pill".

Pink's third album, Try This (2003), generated considerably lower sales, but earned her the Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance. Pink revived her popularity with her fourth and fifth studio albums, I'm Not Dead (2006) and Funhouse (2008), with the latter containing her second United States number-one hit, "So What". Pink concluded the first decade of her career with the compilation album Greatest Hits... So Far!! (2010), which featured "Fuckin' Perfect" and the chart-topping single "Raise Your Glass". Her sixth studio album, The Truth About Love (2012), debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and spawned the top-ten singles "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)", "Try", and "Just Give Me a Reason", with the latter becoming her fourth United States number-one single. In 2014 Pink recorded a collaborative album, Rose Ave., with Canadian musician Dallas Green under a folk music duo named You+Me.

Recognized for her strong signature vocals and acrobatic performances,[1][2] Pink has sold over 47 million albums worldwide,[3] including over 16 million albums in the United States. Her career accolades include three Grammy Awards, a Brit Award, a Daytime Emmy Award and six MTV Video Music Awards. In 2009, Billboard named Pink the Pop Songs Artist of the Decade. Pink was also the second most-played female solo artist in the United Kingdom during the 2000s decade, behind Madonna. VH1 ranked her number 10 on their list of the 100 Greatest Women in Music, while Billboard awarded her the Woman of the Year award in 2013. At the 63rd annual BMI Pop Awards, she received the BMI President's Award for "her outstanding achievement in songwriting and global impact on pop culture and the entertainment industry."[4]

Headliner

Nicholas Jerry Jonas (born September 16, 1992)[1] is an American singer, songwriter, producer, and actor. Jonas began acting in theater at the age of seven, and released his debut single in 2002. He released his eponymous debut album in 2004 to little success, though it did catch the attention of Columbia Records. Jonas opted to form a band with his older brothers, Joe and Kevin, known as the Jonas Brothers. The group released their debut studio album It's About Time through Columbia Records. The record failed to achieve commercial success, thus the group parted ways with their label. Their self-titled second studio album was released through Hollywood Records in 2007, and became their breakthrough record. The band became prominent figures on the Disney Channel during this time, gaining a large following through the network. The band starred in the widely successful film Camp Rock (2008).

The release of the band's third studio album, A Little Bit Longer (2008), helped the band achieve further success; the album's lead single hit the top five on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The release of their fourth studio album saw a decline in sales for the band, though was still fairly successful. Jonas and his brothers starred in the Disney Channel series JONAS in 2009 and 2010, though poor ratings led to its cancellation in 2010. It was later confirmed that the Jonas Brothers would be taking a hiatus, with Nick forming a new band known as Nick Jonas & the Administration. The band released one studio album in 2010, though it failed to achieve much commercial success. Following the release, Jonas opted to focus on work in theater, and also had a recurring role on the television series Smash. The Jonas Brothers briefly reunited in 2013, though officially parted ways due to creative differences.

Jonas decided to return to his solo music career following the band's disbandment, and began work on his second studio album. He signed with Island Records, releasing Nick Jonas (2014) through the label. The album entered the top ten of the Billboard 200, while both of the album's singles entered the top twenty of the Billboard Hot 100. The project was re-released as Nick Jonas X2 in 2015. The release helped provide Jonas with a new public image, earning him the title of a "sex symbol". Jonas later co-founded Safehouse Records, a record label in conjunction with Island Records and Hollywood Records. Jonas released his third studio album, Last Year Was Complicated (2016), through the label. The project became his highest peaking entry as a solo artist on the Billboard 200, while the lead single was a top twenty hit on the Billboard Hot 100.
