CHICAGO, Ill., Nov. 4, 2016 – Toyota, the official automotive sponsor of the Chicago Cubs and Wrigley Field, congratulates the Cubs on their historic World Series Championship!

During the victory parade, a ten-foot-tall replica of the World Series trophy will be carried in the bed of a 2017 Toyota Tundra. A second Tundra will carry Clark, the official mascot of the Cubs, who will be waving to fans along the parade route. A RAV4, featuring an exclusive Cubs wrap, will round out the lineup.

Last year, the Cubs and Toyota announced a long-term Legacy Partnership establishing Toyota as the Official Vehicle of the Chicago Cubs and Wrigley Field beginning in the 2016 season.

As part of the extended partnership, Toyota’s logo is prominently featured on the panel beneath the Wrigley Field Marquee at the corner of Clark and Addison streets. In addition, Toyota is the presenting sponsor of in-game manager challenges and umpire reviews. Also, they receive in-game rotational signage behind home plate and on the left field video board. The logo is also featured on field-level signage and Toyota vehicle names are affixed to Wrigley Field parking lots.

The Toyota Tundra is a pickup truck manufactured in the U.S.A. by the Japanese manufacturer Toyota since May 1999. The Tundra was the first North American full-size pickup to be built by a Japanese manufacturer. The Tundra was nominated for the North American Truck of the Year award and was Motor Trend magazine's Truck of the Year in 2000 and 2008. Initially built in a new Toyota plant in Princeton, Indiana, production was consolidated in 2008 to Toyota's San Antonio, Texas, factory and is the only full-size pickup truck manufactured in Texas.

The first generation Tundra had many similarities with the older Toyota T100 and the compact Toyota Tacoma. These included the shared use of a 3.4-liter V6 engine which was the top of the line engine in both the Tacoma and T100. The V6 engine would serve as the base engine for the Tundra, while a second engine was added, a 4.7-liter V8, the first V8 for a Toyota truck.

World Series MVP

Benjamin Thomas "Ben" Zobrist (/ˈzbrɪst/; born May 26, 1981), nicknamed Zorilla, is an American professional baseball second baseman and outfielder for the Chicago Cubs of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays/Rays, his first MLB club and where he spent the majority of his career, and briefly for the Oakland Athletics and Kansas City Royals. A two-time World Series champion in consecutive seasons of 2015 with the Royals and 2016 with the Cubs, Zobrist was the 2016 World Series Most Valuable Player.

A versatile defender and a switch-hitter with a high walk rate,[1] He has played roughly half his innings at second base, and has also spent significant time at shortstop and in right field.[2] Thus, he has been often been referred to as a "super utility player".[3][4]

Winning Manager

Joseph John "Joe" Maddon Jr. (born February 8, 1954) is an American professional baseball manager who currently manages the Chicago Cubs of Major League Baseball (MLB). Maddon began his coaching career in MLB with the California Angels in 1993 and served under managers Buck Rodgers, Marcel Lachemann, John McNamara, Terry Collins, and Mike Scioscia. He served two stints as interim manager during this time. He managed the Tampa Bay Rays from 2006 through 2014, winning the 2008 American League pennant. After opting out of his contract following the 2014 season, he joined the Cubs, led them to the 2015 National League Championship Series and was named the 2015 National League Manager of the Year. In 2016, Maddon managed the Cubs to their first World Series title since 1908, which they won against the Cleveland Indians.
