Florence Leontine Mary Welch[1] (born 28 August 1986)[2][3][4] is an English musician, singer and songwriter, best known as the vocalist of the indie rock band Florence and the Machine.

Florence and the Machine's debut album, Lungs, was released in 2009; on 17 January 2010, the album reached the top position in the UK after being on the chart for 28 consecutive weeks. Lungs won the Brit Award for Best British Album in 2010. The group's second studio album, Ceremonials, released in October 2011, debuted at number one in the UK and number six in the US. The band's third album, How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful was released in 2015 to positive reviews from critics, and topped the UK and US charts.[5][6][7]

Song to Song is a 2017 American experimental romantic drama film written and directed by Terrence Malick, starring an ensemble cast including Ryan Gosling, Rooney Mara, Michael Fassbender and Natalie Portman.After a lengthy post-production period of over three years, the film had its world premiere at South by Southwest on March 10, 2017, and was released in the United States on March 17, 2017 by Broad Green Pictures.

Ceremonials is the second studio album by English indie rock band Florence and the Machine, released on 28 October 2011 by Island Records.
