Flight of the Conchords is a New Zealand-based comedy band composed of Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement. The duo's comedy and music became the basis of a BBC radio series and then an American television series that aired for two seasons on HBO. They used to refer to themselves as "New Zealand's fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo acapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo", but now speak of themselves as "the almost award-winning fourth-most-popular folk duo in New Zealand."[1]

They were named Best Alternative Comedy Act at the 2005 US Comedy Arts Festival and Best Newcomer at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, and they received a nomination for the Perrier Comedy Award at the 2003 Edinburgh Festival Fringe for their show at Edinburgh venue The Caves. The duo's live performances have gained them a worldwide cult following.[2]

Norah Jones (born Geetali Norah Jones Shankar; March 30, 1979)[1] is an American singer, songwriter and actress. Throughout her career, Jones has won numerous awards and has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide.[2] Billboard named her the top jazz artist of the 2000–2009 decade. She has won nine Grammy Awards and was 60th on Billboard magazine's artists of the 2000–2009 decade chart.[3]

In 2002, Jones launched her solo music career with the release of Come Away with Me, a commercially successful and critically acclaimed album that was a fusion of jazz with country music and pop. It was certified diamond, selling over 26 million copies.[4] The record earned Jones five Grammy Awards, including the Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best New Artist.[5] Her subsequent studio albums Feels Like Home, released in 2004; Not Too Late, released in 2007, the same year she made her film debut in My Blueberry Nights; and 2009's The Fall all gained Platinum status, selling over a million copies each.[6] They were also generally well received by critics.[7] Jones' fifth studio album, Little Broken Hearts, was released on April 27, 2012.

She is the daughter of Indian sitar player and composer Ravi Shankar and half-sister of fellow musician Anoushka Shankar.

Alabama Shakes is a Grammy-winning American blues rock band formed in Athens, Alabama in 2009. The band currently consists of lead singer and guitarist Brittany Howard, guitarist Heath Fogg, bassist Zac Cockrell, and drummer Steve Johnson. The group rose to prominence in the early 2010s with their distinctive and soulful roots rock sound.

The band began their career touring and performing at bars and clubs around the Southeast for two years while honing their sound and writing music. They recorded their debut album, Boys & Girls, themselves in Nashville while still unsigned. Online acclaim led ATO Records to sign the band, which released Boys & Girls in 2012 to acclaim. The album had a hit single, "Hold On," and was nominated for three Grammy Awards. After a long touring cycle, the band recorded their second record, Sound & Color, which was released in 2015 and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.

Fort Adams State Park
Fort Adams State Park is a Rhode Island state park located at the mouth of Newport Harbor, offering panoramic views of the harbor and Narragansett Bay. The park is home to Fort Adams, a large coastal fortification that was active from 1841 through the first half of the 20th century. The area was originally owned by William Brenton, who called the region "Hammersmith" after his hometown in England, a name that survives in the name of the adjacent Hammersmith Farm.
